Second post here as I wanted to dive right in and find out some information.

And what a wonderful place this is - I got an answer within a few minutes !

I'm a newly set up PP ground station using PP to track low flying aircraft into the Mid Wales low flying area.  All too often I'm stuck behind the desk but occasionally make it out to stand on a hillside to watch the RAFs finest whizz by.  When I can't get out I update others on the hill with what might be heading their way.

Sadly coverage isn't as good as it could be so a lot of potential aircraft are missed but I'm working on recruiting more users so that we can have a much better view of what's in and heading to the low flying areas.

Hi, glad to "meet" you! I'm new on here too, and like you am very grateful for the vast fount of knowledge that seems to be on here, which is willingly shared.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "PP"

PP is PlanePlotter, a paid-for software addition to the hobby.
