I have a FR24 Receiver. It works with PlanePlotter, Kinetic BaseStation using modesmixer software and it also performs well with Google Earth if used with trackaircraft3d software.
The receiver is connected via wifi router and has a fixed IP.
Can anyone please help me to use all the features of Radacape listed on http://wiki.modesbeast.com/Radarcape:Contents
How can I:
1. View aircraft on Google Earth by only creating a link in Google Earth? I tried the mentioned method, as on the link above, but it did not help.
2. How to view the web based Aircraft List Table, as mentioned on link above?
Thanks.

IanH

I doubt that the extra features of the RadarCape are possible.

The FR24 receiver is locked down to mainly just provide FR24 with source data.

Although someone else may know differently!

Breitling

You cannot. FR24 receiver is a Radarcape with different decoding software and server. It has restricted access to configuration and some other features. You can only see a brief system status page.

Hi,

I´ve just received a FR24 receiver.
It is working on default settings, but I´ve got a couple of questions;

.- I am trying to access it by his IP (192.168.1.147) but it is only showing a white blank screen, nothing on it.
Is any tip to connect locally to it?

.- Please, Can someone share the modesmixer command to use with this receiver?

Thanks

How are you trying to "access" it?  Using what and why?  What are you trying to achieve?

Hi Anmer,

I am talking about this:
Quote... You can only see a brief system status page.

I´ve been told to use the receiver´s IP to access the receiver´s status page.
So, I can see the IP is that one, 192.168.1.147, got it with IPSCAN tool and with Flightradar24 status page. So I just type the IP in a browser to try to get it.

I can PING it good.

Any advice?

Thanks
Maximo

Thank you.

Are you using a browser on the same local network as the FR24 receiver?  What browser are you using?

This is what you should see.

Sure, the browser is in the same computer where I performed the PING, in the same switch/network as the receiver.

That browser was Firefox.
I´ll try with Chrome, later today (I am not at home actually).

Cheers

I´ve just tried with different browsers and same result...unable to login.

What I´ve tried were different ports; 80, 8080, 8000 and nothing, but... one more I´ve got something, port 30003;

I stopped it because it carried on showing data.

So I guess this receiver is using a hide port to access it??
I´ve tried netstat but it is not showing anything for this IP.

You cannot log in to the FR24 box.

It is locked down.

There is data output on ports 30334 and 30003.

It appears EA1DDO's FR24 receiver is made by Skysense and maybe has different software?

Ian, you got it !
Much appreciated, cheers.

8754, that is the "hide" port.
Using that port 192.168.1.147:8754 you can access the receiver´s setup.

This one is for the IP config;
http://192.168.1.147:8754/net-config.php

And next one to reboot the receiver;
http://192.168.1.147:8754/sw-ctl.php?action=restart

Log file:
http://192.168.1.147:8754/log.php?file=fr24feed.log

Stop the data feed:
http://192.168.1.147:8754/sw-ctl.php?action=stop&sw=fr24feed

What I have no clear is te local monitoring under Windows.
I found something about Dump1090 but I think it is just for Linux.
And mixersmode for Windows??

I am not really interested in local monitoring, because this device will be installed in a remote location, but you know, it is always interesting to get local access to the receiver.
Any advice?

Where I am planning to spend more time is in the antenna system. I am thinking to build a new antenna, LNA, filter, etc.
I´ll keep updating my progress, in a different topic.

Cherrs.

Are you now able to view the FR24 receiver status page by typing its local IP address into a local browser?
Here to Help.

IanH

There is a Windows version of dump1090 but it is used for RTL dongles.

To monitor local FR24 receiver output, quickest/easiest way is probably to download the Windows version of modesmixer2.

Create a batch file:

@echo off
cmd /c  <path to program>\modesmixer2.exe --web 8090 --location 41.21:-8.46 --inConnect 192.168.1.147:30334
PAUSE
exit

Adjust location but from your website, that should be close  ;D.

Run the batch file and you should see local traffic on http;//192.168.1.147:8090.
