Hi All
Thanks for inviting me on board.
I would like to tap into your expertise. Recently the country flags have stopped showing on my Win7 64 bit notebook. Everything else inc. Operator flags works fine. I use the large flag set downloaded from Resources and they are showing in the Basestation folder. The flag column is ticked, and the field manager shows as
21=1, 4, -1, 0, -1, 36

I have a similar set-up on a Win XP Laptop where the flags show OK - only difference is the width in field manager is 50.
Any help in getting the flags back on my notebook much appreciated.
Regards
Dave

Welcome Dave.

Where aren't the country flags appearing?  The right-hand aircraft list and/or popup Aircraft Details window?

It sounds like they were they working OK before?  Have you made any changes - added any new flags or Countries.dat file?

What we need to determine is whether the flags are being loaded OK when you start Basestation and it's just a display problem.

It's probably how you've typed it but there shouldn't be any spaces in the AircraftListFieldManager entry:

Instead of:

21=1, 4, -1, 0, -1, 36

Should be:

21=1,4,-1,0,-1,36

Can you open the popup Aircraft Dertails window and check if the flags show there?

Hi Anmer. Sorry for delay in replying.
The flags do not show in either the aircraft list or the pop-up window.
The file manager list does not have spaces - I just thought it looked clearer when I typed it that way!
There has been a change that may be relevant. I downloaded Active Display Lite and the flags were showing OK on both Basestation and AD Lite. When I lost the flags I used the Basestation configuration button on AD Lite to reload flags. A message said that this would load the latest countries dat file. I don't know if this is significant.
I have AD Lite on my XP laptop with the flags showing on the aircraft list, pop-up, and on Lite.
I hope this makes sense.

Hi Dave

Is your new setup Vista/Win7?

Could we schedule a remote support session together so I can have a look with you?

Hi Anmer
The problem is on my notebook which is Windows 7 64 bit.
Thanks for the offer of a remote session - that would be great, although you would have to tell me how to do it.  Perhaps you could give me a time convenient to yourself. I am away all Wednesday 1st.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Dave

I'll send you a Personal Message with instructions.  Then we just agree a time that's good for you.

I'm a sad old git without a real life so I'm here most of the time.  :-[

Hi again Anmer
I'm a sad old git as well, but have lots of calls on my time, so no peace for me.
Anyway, good news - I have my flags back thanks to a comment you made about the countries dat.file. I told you that when I lost the flags I used the basestation configuration button on Active Display Lite to reload them. This brought up a message that this would also load the latest countries .dat file. I assumed this would be OK. Following you asking if I had changed anything, I copied a much older dat. file from my XP machine onto my Win7 notebook and hey presto the flags have re-appeared. So thanks for the idea,  and a donation will be on the way.
I may if it's OK with you still take up your offer of a remote session some time, with regard to Flight Display which I can't get to run properly on this Win 7 system - it keeps coming up a timer error and shuts down. However,I want to see if I can crack it myself first.
Many thanks for your help.
