Are you using the FR24 feeder with SBS1 Client Local Mode?

All Local Mode does is not send your data to FR24.

If your Premium account has changed, either the FR24 feed is now working or FR24 has fixed MMS2.  I suspect it's the former.

You can revert to SBS1 Client if and when FR24 fixes the Premium subs.

Hi Terry,
Very poor!, I feel like withdrawing my data feed as a protest.

That's your choice.  But I don't think it will make much difference.  MMS2 feeds are not as valuable to FR24 as they were in the beginning.

Success breeds...........

if they are in the thoughts, this is so wrong  ::) I hope the problem will be corrected as soon MMS2

but

it's a different privilege for me....

Hi Anmer

Your thoughts were right, see image below.

I'm now feeding using two feeds for some reason.

But looks like the MMS Client issue with FR24 might be fixed? I hope Harold and others are able to use FR24
again?

Thanks for your help again

Terry

Hi Terry,

Good news that you have it sorted.

I've just logged in to FR24 and unfortunately my status still displays as Basic. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I apologize in advance if this is a naive question, but presumably when changing the MMS2 client configuration to local mode it will stop feeding data into the MMS2 Network as well as FR24?. I'm very pleased with MMS2, have been feeding since Sept 2012 with no issues whatsoever, and would like to continue doing so.

Hi Harold

Sorry to hear that your FR24 isn't working still. I've just connected my SBS1 Client & BS and my FR24 is receiving my feed.

I'm also one of the original SBS1 Client users and I'm also more then happy with it.

I believe if your client goes into local mode it stops feeding.

One further question please for Anmer. Does the SBS1 Client automatically feed to FR24 when your using it without any FR24 feed software?

Thanks

Terry

There's a detailed User Manual for SBS1 Client/MMS2 which explains Local Mode etc.

http://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item6

Everyone who joins the MMS2 sharing network formally states that he/she has read and understood the Manual  ;)

Local Mode doesn't share data with anyone else.

And as stated in the Manual, if one is using SBS1 Client, unless it's set to Local Mode, your data will be uploaded to FR24. It has no way of knowing if you're also feeding FR24 by other means.

Thanks Anmer for your help.

Probably like Harold we read the client manual sometime ago, and I didn't realise it would cause offence asking a couple of questions about the client, that's what I thought the forum was about?

I will re read the manual later and make sure I remember every page of it.

Terry

Ditto, thanks Anmer.

My downloaded manual is dated April 2011, 5 years ago, which is probably when I last read it.

Incidentally Terry, sorry to go off topic but I like your Blog. I also remember your ACARS website from a few years ago.

Thanks Harold for the comment. My memory isn't the same as it use to be, probably just as well I retired from my ATC job at EGKK when I did , far too many manuals to read there for my liking  :)

I received this email a short time ago from FR24, I hope you get yours up and running soon:

'We have found the issues because of which N feeders are having a problem and we will push the fix very soon. I apologize for the inconvenience. It will be fixed as soon as the fix is pushed'

Terry

Harold Brown

That sounds very promising!.

Thanks Terry,

Harold

You didn't cause offence.  I wrote the manual to avoid having to answer the same questions over and over again.  ;)

Finally a reply to my support ticket I wanted to hear...

Quote from: flightradar24 supportWe have figured out the reason why N feeds are not getting updated with Business subscription and the fix will be deployed soon.

Harold Brown

It would appear the fix has been deployed.

I just logged into FR24 and my subscription status is now Business.

Also, just noticed the playback function is up and running.

Yes, it is fixed! However, no access to the Feeder Statistics. Can you confirm this is also not working for you as N-feed?
