I am looking for help from people who have a 1090 Puck.

My old SBS1e is not very well and has been sent off for repair, hopefully? In the meantime I have managed to source a new 1090 Puck which has just arrived from the States. I was hoping that I could take the puck out of the box and plug into my PC and roof mounted aerial and off we go, but to no avail. I have blue lights and a red light and no picture ie aircraft on screen. The basestation software from the 1e is version 184 and as it says it is compatible with the puck I thought I could plug and play without loading the 1090 software from the supplied disk as I was hoping not  to reload all my flags, outlines and Reporter if I don't need to. Can anyone with an previous experience offer any advice?

Many thanks

Ian

Just to be sure, you do have a 1090 Puck and not the SDR one?

How were you connecting to the SBS1e?  Ethernet or USB?

Panic over, after swearing at it and changing the USB lead, it has burst into life. Sorry to bother people.
