Hi,
I've been running Basestation on Windows 8 for a while but just bought a new laptop with Windows 10 to eventually replace the other one.
I installed the Basestation software from the 184CD icon on the Kinetic site with a few hiccups alongs the way - missing FTD2XXX file and all that.  Eventually got it in although did copy a lot of files from the Windows 8 laptop into the Kinetic folder on the new Windows 10 one.

However, when I tried to start Basestation up , it said Unable to start correctly (0XC000007B0.

Any thoughts/suggestions please?

Regards....Steve

Only suggestion I have is to try again without copying files from Win8 to see if it works? Once working, only then copy files from Win8 - that way you reduce the possible problems - or at least identify whether the problem is Win10 or your copied files.

Don't know how many people here are running BS on Win10 to be able to help.

Despite Microsoft's ambition to have everyone on Win10, I reckon they have people divided across Win7/8/10 because of "if it ain't broke don' fix it" approach.

I ignored the free upgrade from Win7 to Win10. If I change in the future, I'll have to pay money. Meanwhile staying with Win7 is easier for a quiet life from SWMBO.

Where  did you install BaseStation?  Was it the default Program Files location or one of your own choice?

And did you copy your sqb and other files from the old laptop?  And to where?

I tried to load it to C/Program Files(X86) which is what the Wizard suggested. My SQB file I put in C/Users/Stephen/AppData/Local/Virtual Store/Program File(X86)/Kinetic/Basestation.

I have since uninstalled and cleared out any files I put in myself, but when I ruthe installer from fresh it complains that it can't find ICOMIC7000Radio etc in the zip file. The strange thing is that the directory name that the error message is saying it is looking at has added an extras name (Temp) to the name the files in cant find are actually in.

ie it says file xxxxxx cannot be found in Users\Stephen\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp1_Basestation-1-2-4-184-CDROM-1.zip\program files\Kinetic\Basestation

but they are in a directory named as above but without the Temp1_ prefix before Basestation-1-2-4

Try downloading a fresh BaseStation V184 CD image.  Unzip to an empty folder.

Then install to a new folder of choice, such as C:\Kinetic\BaseStation.

Finally, copy and replace any files/folders to the new folder.
