I have a strange problem, since recent days.
When I start Modesdeco2 I get the following message:

Libusb_callback xfer status:4
Libusb_callback xfer status:1
Libusb_callback xfer status:1
Libusb_callback xfer status:1

1x status 4 at the end and 3 times status 1 at the end.
And then Modesdeco2 stops working.

I tried several things; rebootet my pc, disabled firewall and so on and on, nothing solved my problem.
Then I tried receiving some planes with RTL1090 and ADSB#, here the problem is even more strange,
both start working as supposed, they start counting planes. But after a short time plane counting drops
rapidly to 0 but both give no error.

My rtl-sdr dongle is working ok. Tried on somebody else his pc.
I know little to nothing about pc's, but it seems to me that some kind of a buffer is full.

Similar problem but on a Pi here:

You are not using a power supply so might be a problem with the USB port - try a different one?

Rockwell

Yes, I tried using other USB port, 2 on the back of PC are new and never used before but didn't solve my problem.

Mystery partly solved. My basestation.sqb file was corrupted.
So I replaced the actual basestation file with an old and smaller one.

Now it works for some 20 to 25 hours than basestation file gets again corrupted or damaged.

Strange thing is that my basestaion file isn't that big (77600 kb.) and it worked just perfect over the last 2 years.

What's updating the sqb file?  And do you know what bit is getting corrupted?

Rockwell

I use Modesdeco2 and Virtual Radar Server.

I start Modesdeco2 with the option --db, so I think Modesdeco2 does the updating.

Anmer

Can you send me a copy of a "corrupted" sqb file when it happens again?

Are you sure that you did not install the "Database Writer Plugin" for VRS?

That also writes to the sqb database. If two programs are writing to it, there is a risk of them trying to do it at the same time.

Perhaps try the VRS plugin instead of modesdeco to update the database and see if that makes any difference.
