I am bound to admit that my current FD7 program has become increasingly impotent as regard to displaying routes.Will this latest version improve this dilemma?

Not knowing what "dilemma" you're experiencing, I have no idea.

The routes shown in the FD screen and aircraft list show more N/A or - than locations!

What internet route lookups are you using and are you expiring routes?

                   3--FlteCom
                   4--Flight Aware

Expire route settings:-
                               Expire routes after--Never
                               Expire unresolved routes after--Never

Will report back on this shortly Mike,it seems that I may have another problem manifesting on BaseStation which may or may not be connected,I will hold off until a clearer picture evolves.

Have you got AutoPop working and are you refreshing Basestation?

Confirm that AutoPop is enabled and BaseStation refresh is set to 2 minutes.

The other scenario I hinted on is that when I start BaseStation  it effectively strangles my computer insofar that it struggles to carry out any task,even the mouse pointer behaves in an erratic and jumpy manner.Starting Flight Display makes the problem worse,Task Manager under the processes tab indicates that BaseStation is using around 89000k and FD7 is in at around 29000k and CPU use climbs rapidly to 100%.Are there any benchmark figures as to what these two programs use?
My set up is a four year old Dell desktop  running Vista Home plus AD Lite,SBS Populate and SBS Plotter
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CPU usage is not too helpful.

My Basestation (sharing data) is 200,00k memory, flight display 75,000k.

What happens if you have just Basestation running and no other add-ons?  Or just Basestation and FD?

Running BaseStation on its own brings up the slow running immediately starting FD or any other add-on exacerbates the problem.
On closing BaseStation and any other add-ons the computer reverts to performing satisfactorily,but this could a total red herring
