Saw this one this morning on the way back from the paper shop, but only just checked it against BS Reporter.
It was heading approx 270 and was on a track similar to a Compton departure from Luton.
However, given the altitude it was at I think it might have come from Stansted. Anyone in possession of more concrete info?

My first contact with Hex 710259 was at 08.24 this morning at 325 feet, Lat 51.868.40, Long -0.405270 which looks like a Luton departure.

Lost contact at 09.00 at 23,000 feet just north of Rouen.

Thanks, Anmer.  Yes, that seems to be the answer. When I saw the aircraft I would estimate that it was at FL80+. Given that Luton has been on 08 today, that would have have given a few more track miles in which to gain altitude.
