Hi Terry

I have not used ADPro for a few days, so I just changed the clock back and started it and got the same error. I thought at first you may have had a corrupt database but as I got the error as well I don't think it is the case. I think as you say ADPro has come to an end.

Hi Terry

Just thought I would try the GAS web site and it is no longer saying that the site cannot be found. It is saying that it cannot find a file. Looks like they may be trying to rebuild the web site. The error is probably caused by getting a response from the web site ADPro was not expecting. If they are just trying to rebuilt the GAS side it will not help, if they are trying to rebuild the license server then maybe it is not all over. I think we need to wait and see.

Thank you for the replies.

A real shame it looks like AD Pro has come to an end, it's a nuisance not being able to see
the routes from my extensive AD PRO routes DB not showing on my SBS.

I sent several emails to Nicola Jones regarding the licence manager and as yet I've not
received a reply.

Hi Terry.

I had the same error messages come up on mine the other day as well and thought that's it, it's come to the end.
Now don't ask me what I did because I'm not sure exactly, I just played around with it, and I've got mine running again.

I ran it and pressed the buttons on the AD panel, turning the functions off/on, ran it without basestation running, then with basestaion running. Shut it down and restarted it a few times, pressed the buttons on/off again.. I also went into the settings and clicked start a new session when basestation starts, then i rebooted the laptop and to my surprise it started running again without the errors.

Thanks for the information on AD PRO.

I did as you suggested turning buttons on and off on AD, I got it working once by turning off the Route Look up function, the thing I really want, and it run OK, but ever since it's run so slowly.
I corrected the AD PRO program, emptied the Routes, tried importing an old Route file, but still it
won't work, this isn't looking good is it?

I've tried all sorts of combinations to get my AD PRO working this morning, but I'm having no joy.

RexamMan is your AD PRO working today, is anyone's else AD PRO working if they have the Route Look up selected or not?

Thanks

Anmer

Hi Terry.

Does it work if your Internet connection is disabled?

Hi Anmer

Yes it does work with the Internet connection off, but then the Route Look Up function doesn't work?

I've tried for an hour or so this morning to get it working to show routes.  I've emptied the routes and imported an old route db from a few months ago and still no luck, I keep getting the same error message, something about SD22?

Thanks

Anmer

Thanks Terry.  I don't have AD Pro so can't run any tests.

I'm assuming it's looking for the routes on the GAS server.  But from what you've posted, you have a local routes file?  Is there a setting that allows AD Pro to use the local routes file?

Thanks Anmer for trying to help me.

There's no where on AD Pro that gives you the option to use your local routes.

I always thought it odd that it needed the internet on to check your own routes DB as the
only routes that ever display are my own ones.

Thanks Terry.  I was curious why it worked for RexanMan and not you.

Unfortunately, I don't see AD working again unless someone is prepared to learn and support Gary's code or an alternative product is created.  It should be a nice earner.

Hi Anmer

I'm not sure whether RexamMan was running AD PRO with the Route Look up selected?

If Gary's ADPro is sitting on a PC and there doesn't appear much prospect of it coming back, that
Nicola or whoever could release it to someone knowledgeable who might be able and willing to do something with it?

Finding a person with the skill and inclination is one challenge.  Negotiating a deal with Nicola/GAS will be another.  Remember it needs a regularly maintained database of aircraft records too.

Yes your right, it's probably too complicated to do, I'm happy to update my own aircraft and routes,
but even this I can't do now, and when my licence expires in a few months I won't be able to use ADPro as it stands.

It would be nice to get the licence manager sorted out and the date and errors I'm receiving, but I'm now giving up all hope with ADPro, it was great whilst it lasted I suppose.

Hi Terry, Mike,

Yes mine is still chugging along at the moment, probably because I haven't turned it off yet!

I've got my route look up turned off.
I'm using AD to automatically display aircraft photos, which I manually download, for alerts and for displaying the aircraft's callsign in basestation.
If it will carry on doing this I'll be quite happy. It's still a pain though having to download the pictures and update the SQB manually through SBS Populate.
