Hello eveyone,

I received my R820T Dongle from Jetvision.de today.
I followed these instructions to install the necessary drivers and software:
http://www.flightradar24.com/dvbt-stick

When I run the RTL1090 software program and press 'Start', it crashes.
I am using Windows 7.

Can someone help me, please?

Best Regards,
Tibo

Sounds like you may have the wrong drivers installed?

Any kind of error shown?   I agree with Anmer, try to reinstall Zadig drivers.

TTECH

The program closes and shows these error(Dutch):

I installed the drivers like they said in the instructions.
How can I check if the drivers are okay?

Anmer

Which instructions?

If you have the wrong drivers it can be a problem removing them.  Do you have another PC to try?  It's important not to install the normal DVB-T drivers.

Have you tried contacting Jetvision?

I have followed exactly the same instructions on my laptop and there it works.
Jetvision told me to download a previous version of RTL1090 so I will try that.

It's probably a driver problem so I would like to uninstall them completely.

Anmer

If you find a way to uninstall the drivers, please let us know.  I haven't.

TTECH

I managed to completely uninstall the drivers and install the good drivers.
(Uninstall in device manager and restart the computer; repeat that until the computer doesn't recognise the device anymore)
Still the same problem...even with older versions of the RTL1090 program.

There are different version of zadig for Windows XP and Windows 7 - did you use the correct version?

And did you use the 32bit versions of the drivers:

"Copy the files below from the rtl-sdr-release/x32 folder (even if you have a 64-bit machine) to the folder containing the extracted RTL1090 files"

Just two things I've done wrong in the past!

You will have already downloaded http://sdr.osmocom.org/trac/raw-attachment/wiki/rtl-sdr/RelWithDebInfo.zip so try running the 32 bit version of the included file "rtltest.exe" to see what error messages you get.

And the crash dump seems to say libusb-1.0.dll is the fault. So try a later version from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/files/libusb-1.0/libusb-1.0.18/. Select the Win7 version.

TTECH

When I run 'rtltest.exe', it also crashes(rtltest.exe).
I have replaced the libusb dll file with the newer one and now I get this error message(no crash):

If I press 'Start':

TTECH

Oh yes! It works!
I replaced the libusb-1.0.dll file with the new one from the 'MinGW32' folder I downloaded from here(Windows version):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb/files/libusb-1.0/libusb-1.0.18/

Thank you IanH!!!

IanH

Well done - now enjoy your dongle.
