A Malaysian passenger plane has crashed in Ukraine, according to aviation sources cited by the Russian news agency Interfax.
The airliner, which was travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur with 295 people on board, is thought to have come down close to the border with Russia.

It was like that with MH370 and dozens of so-called researchers demanding access to flight data.

PP just locks down the data and sends it to the AAIB

Does the AAIB have jurisdiction for these flights?

They act as a point of contact Mike and send the data on to the relevant authorities.
Did the same with other incidents including MH370

Thanks satcom.

I'm sure FR24 helps the appropriate authorities too.

Did PP track MH17 up to the time it disappeared?

Thats correct Mike

Thanks satcom.

I've been away for a long weekend and just got back.

Is there a particular reason why PP doesn't show any traffic over Ukraine at this time?
