AirNav announced some server maintenance last evening and reported it as complete around 02.00 UTC today.

However, it appears there are now major issues affecting network customers.  As usual, no response from AirNav:

Just fired mine up and it's rubbish.  Keeps showing as programme not responding.

Thanks for nothing Air Nav. ???

Thank you for FlightRadar24.com! :)

My guess is Andy Pandy messed up on his "server maintenance", Big Time.

But it's OK, Runway 31 is on the case.

I dread to think what it will be like when the "new project" goes live.

Looks like I was right:

"We've been working on some database optimization and the last release was deployed to the server 9 hours ago.
It happened that the routine that cleaned the database from timeout flights was failing thus old flights were still kept there. The problem is solved at this time.

Please accept our apologies for this problem - everything should be working OK now."

So why didn't anyone check if everything was OK after the deployment?

Leadership in Flight Tracking?  Pull the other one.  Totally hopeless "professionals".

If and it is a big IF.
They ever get Mlat going, wich i doubt, who would run their server ?. As plane plotter crew spend hours a day making sure it runs correctly.

Come on airnav. Be brave an let us know who your staff are ?. From CEO to the programers if you dare.

That's always intriqued me.  Who works for AirNav, full or part time and what duties do they perform?

At least we know the names of the guys at Kinetic, COAA, Flightradar24.com, Planefinder.net, Guenter et al.

But AirNav is a total mystery, except for the part-time CEO in his flying machine.

Airnav consists of Akbar Sherwani in London, Andre Brandao at large and a nameless geek in California who is responsible for the 3D side of things.
They like to give the impression that their HQ is in a fancy building in San Diego, it is in reality just an address of convenience with answering service.

World leaders in hoodwinking...............

They made a terrible mistake the day they started threatening me...............

A very small list indeed.

I'm glad I bought an SBS-1eR not an ANRB, not being smug but wanting to thank those who offer good advice.

It was touch and go between the two when I was buying, but posts by leading members of this group on the 'old' forum helped me make the right decision at the time. AN certainly market (lie?) well.

This forum has certainly been a beacon of truth in an otherwise murky AirNav world, thanks chaps for keeping our eyes open and offering a truly independent view .

No product or company is perfect, but impartial information provided by experienced people with knowledge of the products and services is invaluable to both new and old users I feel.

Cheers,

Keef.

huh...

Isn't the 3D guy from Arizona area!

We continue to improve AirNav Systems server system by adding some new redudant devices and faster processors.

Because of this we've again changed IP address for our main server which my cause connection problems to some users during the next 24 hours. We apologize for this fact.

The good news is that we are signficantly improving AirNav Systems infrastructure to enable further growth on our AirNav RadarBox network.
